Pyramid Physical Therapy & Pilates clinic in San Antonio, TX

Accessibility statement.

What we've done to make this site usable for everyone, what we're still reviewing, and how to reach us if something doesn't work for you. Last reviewed September 14, 2026.

We want everyone to be able to book a visit here.

Pyramid Physical Therapy & Pilates is committed to making pyramidpt.com usable by people with disabilities, including people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard alone, or need larger text or more contrast to read comfortably. A meaningful share of the patients we treat are older adults managing chronic conditions, so this is not an abstract legal exercise for us — it's the same population we see in the clinic.

1. Conformance target

This website targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the W3C. This is the standard referenced in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Section 504 rule for healthcare web content and the benchmark most commonly used in ADA Title III web accessibility matters. We are not asserting full, certified conformance — that isn't a claim any site can make and keep making as pages are added — but it is the bar every page on this site is built and reviewed against.

2. Measures we've taken

In September 2026, before this site left staging, we ran a full accessibility pass across every page template and fixed what it found. That work included:

  • A skip-to-content link on every page, so keyboard users don't have to tab through the full header and navigation to reach the page content.
  • A visible focus outline on every link, button, and form field, so anyone navigating by keyboard can see where they are on the page at all times.
  • Keyboard access to the About, Services, and What We Treat dropdown menus in the main navigation, which previously only opened on mouse hover.
  • A pause button on the scrolling reviews wall on the homepage, so that continuously moving content can be stopped on request.
  • A color-contrast review of every text color against the backgrounds it actually appears on, with two low-contrast values corrected: the muted footer/label gray, and the "Request your visit" link at the bottom of blog articles.
  • Screen-reader disclosure on every link that opens in a new tab, including the social icons in the footer and the outside sources cited in our blog articles.
  • A reduced-motion fallback: if your device has "reduce motion" turned on, scroll-triggered animations, the reviews wall, and the auto-playing hover states land in their final, readable state immediately instead of animating.

Underneath that pass, the site was already built with real labels on every form field, descriptive alt text on every photo (including staff headshots that name the person and their role, not just "team photo"), a single clear page heading per page, and a native HTML accordion for our FAQ pages rather than a custom widget. We didn't have to build that from scratch — we kept it and made sure the newer sections met the same bar.

3. Ongoing review

Accessibility isn't a box we check once. Every new page, blog post, or form we add gets checked against the same standard before it goes live, and we periodically re-test the site as browsers, assistive technology, and the pages themselves change.

4. Known limitations

We would rather tell you where we fall short than imply the site is perfect. Two things we know about:

  • The homepage's scroll-driven hero animation. The frame sequence behind the opening headline changes as you scroll rather than respecting your device's reduced-motion setting. The headline and call-to-action text underneath it are always real, readable text regardless of scroll position, so no content is hidden by this — but we know the visual motion itself isn't yet gated the way our other animations are, and we're planning to fix that in a future update rather than risk a rushed change to a carefully-tuned homepage feature.
  • The Elfsight Google reviews widget. This is a third-party embed we don't control the code of, so we can't fully guarantee its internal keyboard behavior. It's supplementary on every page it appears on: the reviews it shows are also available in our own reviews section and on our public Google Business Profile, and you can always reach us directly by phone or the contact form instead.
