Andrea Wall

The person who checks your benefits, books your visit and answers the billing questions, before you ever get on a table.

The part of your care that happens before treatment starts.

Andrea Wall is the Patient Care Coordinator at Pyramid Physical Therapy & Pilates. Her role is administrative, not clinical: she does not evaluate patients and she does not treat them. What she does is remove the part of physical therapy that makes people put it off.

She verifies your insurance benefits before your first visit, so you know where you stand before you arrive rather than after. She handles scheduling, and she answers the payment questions. Pyramid is in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, Medicare Part B, Tricare and United Healthcare, and Andrea is the one who checks your plan against that list.

Ask Dr. Cynthia Mendez, PT, DPT, OCS what frustrates her about the system and she names it directly:

“Having to jump over hoops when dealing with insurance, patients not being heard by their referring MDs about what they need.”
Dr. Cynthia Mendez · PT, DPT, OCS

Andrea is the clinic’s answer to the first half of that sentence. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science with a minor in Public Health.
