From the stage to the treatment room.
Before she was a physical therapist assistant, Bethany Roberts danced professionally. She trained with Ballet Magnificat! and through the programs of the Joffrey Ballet and American Ballet Theatre.
A dance career teaches an unusual attention to how a body moves: where control actually comes from, where a compensation is hiding, what a movement is supposed to feel like when it is right. Rehab asks for the same attention.
She became a physical therapist assistant in 2016, and earned her credential as a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher in June 2024. As a PTA she carries out the plan of care set by the evaluating physical therapist, Dr. Cynthia Mendez, PT, DPT, OCS.
