Iliana Cortez
A graduate of St. Philip’s College, helping patients rebuild strength, mobility, balance and functional independence.
Recovery is physical and mental, and she treats both.
Iliana Cortez completed her training at St. Philip’s College. As a physical therapist assistant, she works closely with the evaluating physical therapist, Dr. Cynthia Mendez, PT, DPT, OCS, to carry out each patient’s plan of care and adjust it based on how they respond session to session.
She treats a range of orthopedic and neurological conditions, with a particular focus on rebuilding strength, balance, mobility and functional independence. What she watches for beyond the physical: the toll that pain, limited mobility and lost independence take on a patient’s confidence and motivation.
“The mind and body are connected, so addressing the mental side of recovery is just as important as addressing the physical side.”Iliana Cortez · AAS, PTA
